New Work Coming Soon:

Self Portrait: Artists Brain

"We now know a lot about the brain, we still have not found the mind"
Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo

Self Portrait: Artists Brain is a search for the intangible mind. Ten years ago Lada Dedić volunteered to a long term research program where a series of MRI brain scans are taken periodically every few years. Being involved in this research has allowed Lada access to MRI scans of her own brain. Lada has chosen the intricate, almost surgical process of cross-stitch to translate the images.

Watch this space, images of this intricate new work arriving early 2010

Why so quiet on the studiolada front?

Lada is currently undertaking a residency at the Parramatta Artists Studios while also working at the office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Australia.
